Can anyone help me out with the worlds smallest mig weld repair? I have a slight crack in the armrest part of my drivers door, it's not even a centimetre long.
I tried to bog it away but my lovely roller paint keeps cracking right at this point and all the recent bad weather is bringing on rust - wouldn't mind sorting it properly so the crack will bugger off once and for all

Drill a hole at the end of the crack should halt it, at least until you find someone to repair it.

Yeah I am gonna testroy your paint you realise
And thats a hard fix too. I have a door here I can do a practice on, but the glass may need to be removed from the door before welding that up

Hahahaha How the fuck do you 'V-prep" 1.2mm thick coke can?
I'll just use a piece of cement sheet, 240 grid sanding disc and the TIG.
She'll be right

A new coat of paint is only a quick roll away, so no need to be careful about that. I can prep the area for you too if that'll make it easier. Window is easy to pop out, door card isn't on at the moment
If you lay the weld I can do all the finishing - gives me something to fiddle with in spare time.
Can this all be done from the top or will I need to prep the underside too?

personally I'd mig that, clean it up nice and a low amp low wire couple of spots in a row. witha test setup on similar shit. mig will be less fussy I feel.
as pete said slide some cement sheet inside the door and cover the rest with a blanket or silmilar if your that way inclinded.
