Coming out of the mitchell center carpark tonight we found a stray little kitten, who did the suicide dash in front of the car, stood her ground and hissed.

It's very young, probably 4-6weeks, and in good need of a home and loving care.

I would love to keep it but we aren't allowed to keep pets in the place we are in at the moment.

We've given it a little mush (weetbix/milk/water) to get her going, and she has perked up quite a bit, and now allowing us to touch and pat her... A very affectionate and personality filled kitten it has become.

So, please let me know if you would like to take this little monster on, otherwise I'm going to have to take her to the RSPCA tomorrow arvo.. and I don't really want to leave her there.

Ok, I'll take your word shep! have had negative experiences in other states with rspca.

I'm sure your retarded dog is very loving!

Well it's now out of the box, and sitting on the couch, oh wish i could keep it!

I adopted a stray (or more accurately he adopted us) a couple of years ago - most amazing little bugger I've ever come across, and I've owned cats most of my life. Had no trouble holding his own with the two dogs, full-on personality:
Image

I share your skepticism about the RSPCA though - we reported him as missing when we found him and they said we had to leave him there for a week in case someone claimed him - this despite no collar (or sign of ever having had one) no microchip, and obviously been on the streets for a while. During his stay with them he picked up Cat Flu and had to stay for longer, by the end of which he was completely unsocial and untrusting of any human. Took weeks to get the cat we found on the street back to where he was.

He got sick after a year and we had to put him down, but it was definitely worth the effort.

She made her way to RSPCA yesterday arvo, as much as I didn't want to. She was coming out of her shell every moment and I could see she was going to become a great cat. I'm a sucker for animals...

Unfortunately its not only the rental agreement that has no animals allowed but the bodycorp rules too. I sooo wanted to keep her. It was sad to hand her over to the RSPCA, Only had her for less than 24hours and was already attached... and the woman we dealt wasn't too compassionate, her attitude was 'ugh another cat'.
