Anyone fitted a rooftop tent to a Jimny and if so, how does it affect the handling/fuel and so on, not to mention the look of it when travelling.
Thanks

You need a roof rack as a mounting base. Figure that out, and the rest is easy

I wouldnt want one on the the roof of a jimny or sierra, unless it was one like the hannibal up the top which is by far the least wind resistent out of any, but correct me if i'm wrong i think i saw them for over $3000?
Or like fatzooks one as it isnt fully sticking up above the roofline.

when i go camping I put a double swag, a rv4 oztent and a 4kg gas bottle on the roof.
you can really tell its up there. but you can do it. but I would want to make it so you could easily take it on and off the car.

mines gonna be a pain in the ass coz of the soft top. im gonna have to reinforce the back end. what kinda base would best suit?
i was thinking bout just getting the roof racks. then make a plate and buying a cheap 2 man tent and somehow assembling it onto the plate/roof rack. :s trial and error me thinks
