hey guys thinking of getting rear locker jus wondering what you guys recomend
there this one hear im looking at but jus wanna know your opinion.

and quuick question, how much dose it usually cost to install?

Yeh plenty of us run them, including myself. Some have problems, some dont. I would put another one in my diff anyday.

Cost to install ranges from getting a mate to do it for free, to a diff place charging maybe a few hundred if you supply them the diff centre.

They are pretty easy to install if you are at all mechanically minded.

Just dont run one in the front, it makes the steering hard and unpredictable, the back is the best place for these lockers.

yea iv herd that the front dose that and for the driving i do a rear one should be enough
im not a mechanic but i do all my own work, would someone who figures it out as he goes be able to do it?

I just put one of the new Spartan lockers in mine last wk, I think they're pretty similar to the lockright ones I think. I'm certainly no mechanic but me and my old man were able to do it in an arvo with not too many dramas. That's one of the biggest advantages witha zook, no really heavy parts to support while your working on it, just give it a go

The best after market accessory you will get if you intend doing any mechanical work yourself is a workshop manual coz they will walk you through your job step by step, and most of the time with pics. Get a good one from someone like Hayes or gregorys, I've got a Hayes one and if I didn't have it I'm not sure I could have done my locker in one arvo

I believe:
Couplers only available for rear (26 spline axles)
They won't fit in front.
Advantage to the ones that don't have couplers is:
Can go in front or rear.
This is my understanding.
Couplers operate more smoothly.
But heard no complaints from those who run without couplers.
IE using the diffs originalk side gears.

Spartan lockers dont use couplers.
They use original zook side gears, front and rear.
