I( do not trust fuel gauges, they are useless, work out your fuel milage, its very simple, allow kilometers per liter, or liters per hundred, an divide that by your tank volume.
Allow for excess usage when playing, say, drop milage by 25%, so if you get 10 liters per hundred, when playing, allow 7.5LPH.
Or if your wanting extra insurance, 50%, so 10 becomes 5.

Personally... i never let it get that low... i always fill up when it gets to half tank or under... just in case... i agree, never trust the fuel gauge, use your trip meter, reset it when you fill up, and just keep an eye on it, then fill up at 300 or 250km, depending on how thirsty your car is, lol...

im the same, i dont trust my fuel gauge. mines stuffed though, it reads empty with about a quarter tank to go. being a 40 litre tank, i know its around 10 litres left. i just fill about every 300km...
being 15-20 years old you need to remember its not going to be overly accurate anyway

Just do it. Your zook is probably illegal for dozens of other reasons. Whats one more?
