i just got some 15x7's on my nt on tuesday. was gonna get 15x7 -15 desert rats but couldnt get them in black so ended up getting 15x7 -12 DYNAMIC rims. they stick just outside the guards now by about 1 inch (30x9.5's) and have no scrubbing at all on the springs or chassis anymore so they have done the job well

I lay a straight edge across my rims, no tyres as yet, and its 4" from the top to the mating surfaces, on a 10".

So the means on the other side, its 6"

Does that therefore mean I have a 1" offset, as 4" + 1" = 5", half the wheel width.

I have read a lot on this, but cannot get my head around it, maybe I have read too much, as there seems to be a lot of contradictory advise out there.

yep, that is right.

from those measurements the have 4" backspacing (USA terminology) or -25mm offset

Taa mate, this is where I get confused, some talk of backspace, and others of - or + but obviously its the same in the end.

I remeasured, and from outer lip to outer lip is 11", so I asume add 12.7mm to the offset, so 25 + 12.7 call it 38mm

I just measured the 8" rims on suziblu, (f100 rims) and from what I can tell, these will stick out 55mm further, so that means no spacers, yaaaaa.

So what rim combo do ya recomend for the Body/spring compromise, or will i be cutting the guards?

15x7 at -15
You will need to massage the guard's on the firewall, there is a seam that stick's out, just hammer that flat on the vertical & down on the horizontal..
& fold the wheel arch back a lil to..

stekky would all that still be needed with the 2 inch body & spring lift???

I just bought some 15x8's
Flipped centres, more offset, yada yada.. :D
Not sure of the actual offset value however

Anyway, in easy terms.. 1" of the rim is inside the body (Not including flares)
And 7" is outside

I LOVE IT

I don't drive on the road very often
And i've heard from a few different (reliable) people that they've had no wheel bearing issues after running similar offset rims for years

They'll be just fine for what i do
