Hi
I've got a 91 Sierra and the radiator needs replacing. I mainly do beach work in sand (ie at fairly low speed 30-40 kph)

Any suggestions or comments on if an alloy core radiator is best to put back in, and if so, where to get one at a good price?

Any suggestions much appreciated!!!

Should be able to pick one up off ebay for $100, alloy dual core.. Don't recomment a Civic radiator however, that was a bitch to fit

I had heat problems on the sand with my stock 1.3 rad. I replaced it with a new 1.3 as Royce mentioned above and it now handles a 1.6 without going above 92 degrees. That's including one four hour run on Fraser last year with high tide right in the middle. Don't bother trying to fit a different radiator in there. It's just a waste of time and money. Make sure you've got your fan shroud on though. You could probably overheat a brand new radiator on the sand without your shroud.
