i got a 16a with fuel injection in my shed. but did the g16 a come out with fuel injection??? And if it didn't, is the bottom end different between the 16a and 16b?? im rebuilding this engine and i not keen to order the wrong rebuild kit!!!
i also am missing a ecu and 90' dizzy mount and dizzy... Does anyone have any parts???

also if someone else has a g16 16v they rebuilding and your timing cover is off can you please post pic of timing gears. i just want to make sure i got everything there..
not asking much am i.

Usually G16A is carby (sometimes TBI) and G16B is MPFI..
Blocks are basically identical but pistons are different for 16Valve.

this have the 4 valve reses (i can not spell) in em. the the block is g16a. and its multi point. main bearings ect the same size?

Sounds like what you have there is a bit of a homemade hybrid ..
G16A carby block.
G16B 16 valve pistons.
G16B head with MPFI.
Bearings are same between G16 & G16B.

and i souced a 1L transfer box here for 100 bucks, looks in good nick, am i getting ripped??

I have a SWB vit here wrecking but engine and loom are gone..
I have a MPFI inlet and throttle body. I might have an angle drive dizzy housing, would have to look.
$100 for a 1.0 transfer is OK... Find me one too.

I had a G16A 16valve, was originally from a swift, well the head was at least, also had non bored pistons and factory bearings in it leading me to believe the engine had never been fiddled with

Don't have a dizzy.. Not sure if you can use 1.3 dizzy or not.

Some of the import G16A's did come multipoint 16v. The one fitted to my Sierra is a G16A jap import motor

yeah this was out of a jap front cut.. but it done a cam so i got it for nothing. just dont know were dizzy and comp is.....

16v you need the 16v dissy. You can make the Sierra one fit and work bit it won't be right, you will have oil leaks and it won't rev past 5k
best off getting the suited parts
