Okay so I have a g16a block with g13a head
So I have all g13 pulleys and waterpump

My understanding is that I'll have to

Change water pump and pulley back to vitara
Change crank pully to swift mult rib pulley
Run thermo fan

Can some one clarify this please

Yep all sounds good. But a g16a waterpump pully bolt config is the same as sierra so you could use sierra fan and not have the thermo.

I just fitted the 8 valve g16a vitara water pump pully to my g13a pump and it fits. Used sierra fan on the front of it.

Ill run a vitara clutch fan instead I think
So Is the vitara crank pulley a 5 bolt pattern and water pump pulley 4 bolt pattern

My timing cog is g13a 4 bolt so I'll have to get a swift pulley
And you say use a vit w/p pulley on the Sierra w/p wich should be the same bolt pattern as my g13 water pump

No, it could if I had it all the way out on the adjuster. Run a smaller belt? Or else I saw Damo flipped the uni, not for that but good idea if its an issue.

Hi,
I'm looking at doing this upgrade over the next few weeks and wanted to confirm the parts I require as well as how to wire it up.

I've got the g16a with 8 valve motor, so I'm guessing that I'll require an alternator bracket from a g13 to make it fit.

Does any one have a wiring diagram, instructions or photos that would help me wire it up?

Any assistance is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Mic

Quick question, does any one see a problem running a 100amp cable from alt to battery.
Also what size fuse to run with this cable.
Only reason I used 100amp cable and not 70amp is because I had shit loads of dual battery cable laying around

will be fine as long as you use the right size fusible link in it

Would an AU/BA 110amp fit on a G16B? If so, any recommendation for bracket to use?

I've tracked a EL Alt one down but noticed that these ones have 5 ribs/groves... can this help in the aligning of the Alternator Belt or does the belt need to be against the edge of the pulley?

I assume $75 is a reasonable price for one ???

What size fusable link did you use? I can see everyones meant to use 70amp wire, but no ones answered your question about the fusable link size.

Also I no longer require this plus on my stock sierra loom due to g16b. Can I use this as the alternator plug? It fits perfectly and is two pin. This is for a 110 amp alternator. Will there be any problems involved?

Does any one know what you have to do to fit a falcon alt to a m13a Jimny.
I've got a brand new 110amp alt sitting around doing nothing.

you can use a daihatsu charade water pump pully on the std sierra water pump to run the mulit rid belt but you will have to space the pully out with a thin washer on each fan bolt on the back of the pully then you will just need to change the crank pully to multi rib as well

Bosch is also listed as being for a 6cyl so Burson tell me.

The Bosch plug sticks out the side more than the Mitsu one.

Just confirmed with Santos that you can use a vitara pulley with the sierra water pump and fan.
You won't need to use any washers or spacers...it will just bolt on and you can run the ribbed belt like on the GTi (make sure you get the pulley from a vitara with an engine fan as later models may be electric)
