Hey team, new to the forum and suzuki world.
I just purchased a 1999 vitara with only the front seats, and they're a bit worn. I'm hoping to put front and back seats from a 2009 grand vitara into it but am not sure if its possible, any advice?
I've also seen a 90's vitara with Alfa Romeo seats in it, is that a difficult transition or are all cars basically the same with regards to seat fittings?
Thanks, Ric

Hi Ric.
You any good at fabrication? Unfortunately the vitara rails and floor pan make it hard to fit seats from other vehicles. You also need to be careful with the donor seat size, as Bpillar and centre console clearance is an issue.
Perhaps more serious than this is the legality of swapping seats. Not sure where you are located, but I'd be making contact with your relevant transport authority to check what's involved, and who may be able to assist with mod plate or engineering.

Thanks for the info, my fabrication skills concluded with yr10 metal work, will contact a mate in the trade though.
Is it possible to interchange seats between a grand vitara and vitara? Or vitara from different years or models?
I just bought a car with no back seats so need to sort something out asap.
Thanks

Is yours a grand vitara or just a vitara? 2 or 4 door?

I'm 99% sure any 2 door vitara rear seats will fit, 99% sure grand vitara rear seats won't fit.

Was there a 99 Vitara in Australia? I thought the Vitaras were sold up to 98, which is the year the Grand Vitara was introduced.

Could be confusion between build and compliance date.

Also will begin the hunt for some vitara seats. Thanks for the info guys
