hi all,

i remember someone adding bracing to the front edge of an arb bar recovery point, as in welding plates to both sides of the bar to "increase the surface area". I remember them talking about welding upside down and being there first attempt at welding, but searching with those key words brings nothing.

pretty sure it was in a build thread, and the vitara (se416) was white!

thank you search gods!

Chop did it on Burnt Wood's ARB Bar, but I remember someone else doing it too.

a master never reveals his secrets, but i'm pretty sure Grimbo added a user name to the search to narrow down the results

I'm not sure if this is right, but you can try: http://www.auszookers.com/forum/ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=post

or see "User Control Panel / Board Preferences"

Anyone know categorically what size the hard brake lines on an SV620 Vitara are?

Are the sizes an internal (bore) or external measurement? Calipers say 4.9mm external, so guessing 5mm? It's just off enough for me to worry that it might be 3/16" (4.75mm) internal, though I'm hoping Suzukisan didn't go imperial for one componant...

Anyone clarify?

How to program a new remote for an aftermarket alarm system...

I don't know the brand that is installed. The keyless fob / "doop doop" thing is busted. It has a fake walnut finish that has warn off, somewhat ruining the illusion of class that I work so hard to maintain.

so is there a thread on reprogramming or programming a new key?

Crap...

Mine doesn't actually need it yet, but was tempted by another one that looked mint but apparently needed clutch and had 118,000 on it. Seller not replying to SMS, voicemail or e-mail. :(

Darkhorse; Ninja has a good write up for the H series timing chains in his GV/XL-7 thread, it's pretty early on in the build stages... was a couple pdf's attached to a post from memory, has nice pretty colour pics n shit.

Jason; any idea on what kind of alarm... i can probably tell you how to reprogram a new remote into it, but probably not best to post a DIY guide on how to steal peoples cars.

Skippy did it to his. Nutserts were used to attach the factory rails but he has since made a custom basket that includes the feet.

Lights are negatively switched. That's the most common mistake people make when wiring up lights.
