Hey guys,
I wanted to make a fold down shelf for the rear door of the Jimny, But thought while I was there, I could make something to carry the simple tea/coffee, biscuits etc for convenient access when out and about.

Started off by making a box -

Wrapped it in automotive carpet, and painted the inside black -

Then mounted in to the rear door with a Bunnings standard melamine shelf attached as the door / work area -

Lined the inside with a tool box liner for a bit of grip, then wired up a white warm LED strip in aluminium housing with the switch in the blanking panel to the right -

Done!

Haha, yeh... long story there, ZN... haha

Yes - fixed to the steel internal of the door, then with the rubber tool box liner glued over the top. Pretty solid - just wish I Made it about 30mm thinner, just to lessen the intrusion into the rear area a bit.
