my guess would be it's most likely the spacing between the speedo cog & the sensor.

Do you have the old kit with enclosed speedo adapter or the newer open style?
Checked the wiring?
Mine has never stopped working but that could have something to do with my dislike of mud.

i have the new one. i think the nuts bolts on the flange have hit the sensor, there is plastic on a couple of ends of the bolts soo sadly thats what i get for doing the conversion at late times of the night there is a small bit of plastic missing of the side facing the bolts must of been enough to break the sensor

Sounds like you found your problem. On a side note, the new kit seems to position the sensor quite off line from the ring. Looks to be all in the right positions but strange that they haven't positioned it a bit closer to the transfer.

Is it for speedo? BigJimny had a "how to DIY WT swap" and they show how to make one from PTFE sheet and self tappers. Using this method you could add or subtract screws to correct speedo for bigger tyres

I used the standard gears, I don't need/want super low Low Range. I bought my kit directly from ORA but I think they're only available from JimnyBits now

i think ORA will make a kit for you but you need to contact them (they only make it after you order etc).

If you have 30/31" tyres fitted with a 1.58 ratio (in high) Tbox you can use a 27tooth ring to correct the speedo reading. You can make them out of one of the dog gears from a scrap sj transfer box, you just need to turn the centre out to the correct I.d. so that you can mount it on the output flange.

Yes. The transfer is mounted separately to the gearbox. Gearbox isn't relevant except for ratios.
