hey guys ive had a search but havent come up with much
suzuki sierra wt 89
anyone know the size of the shifter ball that goes in on the other side of the detent ball when your putting your transfer case back together? I seem to have misplaced mine but have a few random ones floating around.
would an 8mm dia ball be close enough or does it have to be exact

thanks in advance

rekon itd have to be pretty much exact. When I rebuilt mine there was 2 different size's and they were bullshit close to each other in dia.

I could be 100% wrong though. not an expert in sierra cases apart from what ive done with my own.

9.48mm for the gear shifter detent ball.

7.91mm for the shifted fork detents.

Sounds very close to what the Amurricuns would call 3/8" and 5/16"?

8O WOW 303, did you know they were imperial before hand? Cause that’s an awesome pickup. I feel sad now however. No more boasting Suzuki was so ahead of its time being completely metric.

I think you'll find the seat belt bolts aren't metric either, as per SAE regulations.

pretty sure there should be 4 dentent balls. 2 removed from outside the case and 2 removed when the shifter rods are removed. as well as 2 or 3 springs cant be sure till i look at that one with what i have in parts at home. I have my case appart. doing a rebuild on it. but got stuck without a press to remove the front output shaft from the case.
