Good G16B heads are VERY rare Tony. Most people, myself included, hold out looking and then end up buying a brand spanker for $550.

16A Carby is 8 valve. 16B EFI is 16 valve.
Heads and both manifolds are different.
You can fit an A head to a B block and visa versa but you will need to fit the corresponding pistons.

You can fit an 8v head to a 16v bottom end without changing pistons, but a 16v head on 8v block needs a piston swap. Not sure why you would want a carby and 8v head if you already have a 16v though

Thanks Guy's I have an engine (16B) with no head - The cam etc is there but no head - Tony

yep........... im in the same boat tony, 93 vitara cracked head just bought a 2nd hand from wreckers, went to get it shaved and turns out its already warped(been overheated at some stage) lucky the wreckers are going to take it back and said they have another one there so ill be trying again but if not im just gonna buy a new one
