Hey guys

I have a ARB Bull Bar and will be fitting larger tyres soon with a 3" lift, just want to know if there is a bracket out there you can buy to fit the bull bar on afterr cutting the out riggers

or

if anyone has made anything to mount it to the car details and pics would be sweet

dont worry about the out rigger brackets.

yeah but my ARB Bull Bar is mounted to the ends of the out riggers if i cut them of theres nothing for the bull bar to bolt up to, that just leaves the center bolts that doesnt look the very stronge, specialy if im winching, ill rip off the front bar

any ideas

thats how most people have their bars mounted. mine was and arb bar modded for my winch
my car had crush tubes welded in the end of the rail but still only used the rail bolts.
I have parked with one corner/ end of the bar against a tree and winched stuck patrols etc to the point the winch had virtually stopped.

so your saying even with the out riggers gone the bull bar is still stronge enough to winch with out damage to the car ?? is there anyway i can strengthen it with out the out riggers being there ??

Despite AJSR's experience, I wouldn't winch or recover off of an ARB bar that has had the outriggers removed without chassis strengthening.

The bar itself might be strong enough but the holes in the ends of the chassis will pull through.

Note that AJSR had crush tubes welded into the ends of the chassis - this will add a lot of strength.

There are lots of ways you can strengthen the chassis and bar to winch without the outriggers. If you have the skills to perform this work you can problem solve how to do it.

What would you suggest steve ?? I did see on here once, someone bashing in tube into what ever is left of the out rigger thats one way yes, any other way to weld to the chassie ??

Make up a braket that allowes more mounting points bit you want crush tube inserted so you don't stuff up you chassis Have a read up in I made it their was something good in there

one of the issues with the ARB bar after the outrigers have been cut off is that the remaining chassis
mounts have the bolt holes very close together which makes it no where near strong enough.

the reason we made a tube bar for my car was because i was sick of the ARB bar falling off.

do you think i should make a complete diffrenet plate to weld on the bar to the chassie and then make extra holes aswel,
make the plate go further down the chassie rails for more strength ??

This was an ARB winch bar. Made it better, the original mounts snapped when i hit the bar on a bank.

is that a custom plate you welded to the bar ?? how does it go winching ?? does it feel or sound like its going to rip off

I cut off the bottom prong/mount and made it one solid bit. bolts to a chassis extension with 3 M10 bolts either side crush tubed. I havent got a winch, but with a little more reinforcing it'd be more than cpapable of winching shit
