Hi all,
Over the years, I have heard of people fitting the H25a and H27A into a normal vitara/Tracker. However, I have never seen a thread of the actual conversion and what is neccessary.
Does anyone know what needs to be done....obviously engine mounts
How about Gearbox mounts? What gearbox do I use (GV or mine)? whats the difference in gearbox/t-case lengths? (will I need to move the gearbox back..new tailshafts etc) Fuel pump? is the stock tank able to cater?
Any threads containing this conversion would be ever so helpful!
Regards, Swifty

Why not use a J20A? They came out it Vits so it might be an easier swap?

If I am going to swap, I want to make it worth the effort. I mean a 2L would be good but a 2.5 would be much better. Also, I have a front cut available very cheap

it's been done on here, check out threads made by dezook in the rigs section. i can't see how they are going to be the same block... J20a is a 4cyl the H20a, H25a, H27a are all V6's & the G series blocks are different again eg G13 & G16. your CV's are going to love the extra power.
