Whilst this thing is clearly massive. V8 powered etc, I think it is the best example I have seen of a ute chop on a (formerly) swb sierra.

A) It has enough wheelbase to look proportioned.

B) It's functional - an extra cab that's weather sealed. a glass back window etc

C) I doesn't have some stupid redneck tray that looks like a refugee from a pretend winch challenge truck.

D) From the A pillar back, it almost looks like suzuki could have built it.

I think the concept is excellent, but the execution is poor. Guess its OK for a trail rig though.

The area atthe base of the b-pillar is average. They have gone to the effort of rolling the impression in the tub over the rear wheel, but it was too much work to continue the impression from the door into the b-pillar.

Sliders look odd ( My opinion ), and I think that the front of the tub needs to extend down level with the sill.

I also think that having such an open front detracts from what they were trying to achieve at the back.

Anyways, yes, the front end is pushed too far forward, and it's sitting front high in that photo which makes the rear end look too short. I think there's some fair optical distortion in the side shot too - notice how the roofline looks like it is falling to the rear.

The overall size and front end wasn't my point - it's the fact is has a useable cab size and a tub that's been integrated.

Here's another photo - it's not as good which is why I didn't start with it, but I think it shows the proportions better. Imagine it on 33's or 35's and with a front clip and I think it would look a lot better.

Front axle is a D44, rear 14BFF. The engine is sitting a fair way forward, perhaps why the front had to be stretched out so far.

After seeing the new tray on Piggles, I may even build a second tray for my ute eventually. Cab chassis sierras are cool

As you pointed out, it is a trail car. Yes, resolving the body line right along the cab would have been nice, but a lot of work for little return.

Considering that so many ute chops never even close off the SWB wheel arch, I think this what they did here is quite good.

doesnt really matter what it looks like, if i was worried what it looked like i would only ride my mrs.
i would drive a 4metre black wrinkle dildo if it never got bogged and had air bags.
worrying bout looks is for queer-o-sexuals.

Steve, you make mention of a proper sealed cab with rear glass window etc, do you realize it never gets cold up here? I don't have a heater in either of my cars. What suits you doesn't suit all.

I know that. I think it gets quite hot though. A/C would work a lot better in a sealed cab methinks.

regardless, that car would still look pretty good with a soft top cab too.
