Just wondering what process i go through to remove leaves from the leaf springs. Is it as simple at unbolting the middle bit and pulling them out.

I am currently running 5 leaves in the front and back of my LJ. Wanting to remove atleast one if not 2 leaves from each pack. (how many leaves do you guys run?)

And also which leaves should i remove ?

First you need to jack the car up on the chassis until the wheels almost leave the ground. Then undo shackle bolts and fixed end bolts. Remove nuts on ubolts and the spring should come off. Put the spring in a vice tightly and remove the nut at the bottom. Slowly release the vice and the spring should come apart. Remove leafs, and then reassemble in reverse order.

short thick ones are load bearing leaf's. and yes getting rid of these is what you want to do to give it more flex. However as the term load beairng implies you will get sag quicker.
