The flooring went down 2 weekends ago.... Been a bit slack getting pics and I lost a couple when the phone went thru the wash :D

A couple of hours in. Alot of stuffing around getting the first board straight and secure so the next boards don't move it. The flooring is spotted gum, select grade and is secret nailed :D

Getting stuck into it now!

These are some ooooold school technology. Called dog clamps. Take on flooring board with a bitch of a bow in it....

And volla! All clamped up nice and tight :D You nail either side of the clamp, remove the clamp and nail it off :D

After 11 hours, it time to call it a day...

Got this close!!

That was saturday. Sunday finished the flooring off into the hallway to the study and laundry. A fair bit of fiddly shit making a step out to the garage and hiding the out of squareness of the existing building :D The photos from the day are on my phone, inna bag of rice atm trying to dry out.

The plaster went on over the next couple of days (dad at home for a week and a half before back off to china for work (leaving tonight for 6 weeks!)) and the plaster came in on friday last week and smashed the whole lot in 1 day. Came back today and sanded it, an now its painting time :D

The kitchen will be installed next week, probably on wednesday and then the floors get done on the 7-9th of november once they have acclimatised to the room :D

Dave

:blingbling:

The kitchen is in, the floor is done and im going back next week to put the last touches. The western red cedar cornice needs to be refitted and the 2 coats of enamel on the wood work needs to be done. Apart from that, i replaced the back door with a new solid core door and a digital lock (manual keypad type, the folks didn't want the flash biometric fingerprint electronic lock and keypad one, altho the 8) factor would of been awsome
I drowned my phone most of the way thru the job so I have lost the ability to take pics with the phone so when i pull my finger out and take the camera down to the folks I'll get pics up. Its a freekin mind blowing awsome job, real stoked with the sub trades I have used, they have pull out all the stops and made an awsome job :D
