how can i tell the difference between a 3.7 and a 3.9 pinion gear. i have two diff centers in bits in a box, one a 3.7 and the other a 3.9
i have counted the teeth and they both have 11 teeth but i am unsure which one is for the 3.9 ring gear.

look for engraved markings on both. ring and pinions should have a matching number...for example b340....etc.
