I know that all I have to do is disconnect the battery, remove the cables to the starter and take out two bolts to remove.
But in the Vit the top bolt is in a prick of a spot.
Any tips on getting it out? Is it a matter of using a stubby spanner, patience and swearing? or is there an easier way?

in a sierra its way easier if you take the airbox out first, gives a lot more room to get in there.
Not sure about a vit though?

go rock climbing for a few years, the bolt gripping and twisting strength you get in your fingers is worth more than any amount of funny shaped spanners

I've actually taken an easier way out.
Clutch started it and dropped it off at the auto elecy. He didn't charge me too much last time but I think he hates my car
I don't have much time in the arvo's and when I do get home I CBF'd and I can't wait until the weekend to work on it.

Body lift does help,
so does the inspection hole I made in inner guard.
I fitted my starter about 6 months ago, bugger of a job.
But during engine out job, I removed the carbon cannister first,
as well as the inlet support,
that was way easier.
