How does one tell the difference between a Super Carry and a normal one from a distance?

I know where there's one sitting a paddock next to someones house and I don't really want to go door knocking unless I know it's what I want.

Also, I hear of you guys using Carry springs a fair bit, from what I can figure they're a bit longer (than normal fronts) and move the diff forward a bit. Do they offer any lift over standard springs? Are all carry springs the same?

So, 84-87 carrys have the 5.125 diffs right? Which ones have the Gearbox used in the 5 speed LJ conversion?

I'm 75% sure it was one like this, but white.

Thanks

Hayden

ST80 and ST90 Carrys have round headlights (like LJ + Sierra), Super Carry have rectangular lights (like Drover).

ST80 and ST90 Carrys have same style of gearbox (bearings sizes, shafts, cases, etc) as LJs.

Super Carry (tray or van) is the only one that has the box used for the 5 speed, although some Super Carrys (particularly tray-tops in Povvo-spec, I think it was TA and TX in the SC's?? TX being 5 speed) had 4 speeds. A 4 speed Super Carry still has the right gearbox casing, but it is not machined for the 5th gear bearing on the countershaft and can't be used.

Thanks once again, all knowing Suzuki master!

'Twas indeed a Super Carry (van, if it was a ute I would of knocked regardless), I think i may have to do some door knocking. :D
