redrilling diff flanges ?

got a few sets of maruti 4.1 diff centeres laying round and thought i'd throw some under my new w/t rig, the only prob is they are n/t bolt pattern on the flanges. Can i redrill the flanges to suit w/t spacing, i have a tailshaft spacer that has both patterns on it and would be perfect for the task, or am i going to end up cursing cause i cant drill through the flange
(no drill press either)

put wide track flanges on them? thought they were interchangeable?

yeah they are, but they arnt fun to get off
thought this way would be easier and quicker to drill 8 holes than to spend ages with breaker bars and shit on my own.

the spacer i have has both sets of holes, i thought it would be easier to bolt it on and then just drill through the w/t holes which should give the perfect pcd ? uh

i have wt ones and drilled nt holes in them i used the spacer as a jig and it worked well

Same, i drilled my large pattern vit diffs to the smaller pattern Sierra.. no dramas, and lots of road miles at 100Km.

use a bearing puller to remove flanges.

Just swap the yokes over to N/T.

ok i cannot see how this would work as the actual flanges themselfs are a different size and the pcd of the w/t is on the outer edge of the n/t flange
so it looks like they will be swaped by suzistore.

There wont be enough meat on them to drill for the bigger wt pcd. Wt's are bigger.

maby run NT Flange on Diff side and WT and Transcase side ? just change the Drive shaft joints to suit ?

im sure u cant get a Flange new Flange from Low range i think they sell NT flanges with 5 WT patten would something like this work ? http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.ph ... pters.html
