Soooo... I'm gonna take the plunge and get one if these lockers for the rear of my Jimny, but does anyone know if I'd be able to hook it up to the small ARB compressor? I know that you get a compressor with the locker, but it's quite alot bigger than the ARB one.

the smaller ARB compressor is an air locker only compressor & i believe the compressor that comes with the copylocker is the same as the small ARB one.

Aren't all the ARB compressors designed to take lockers?

I've had many emails back and forth with them with very fast replies.

However now I need to try and work out how the hell to pay them! (I can't get into a my banks branch due to location, makes life difficult!)

For those who have these, do they come with fitting instructions, or are they a mechanic only jobby.

I want to get FnR lockers and change they diff ratios to 5.12s, but am a bit sus on having a go if no decent instructions come with them.

Fitting instructions should be supplied with them, the ARB instructions are very in depth... like 30+ pages of step by step instructions with pics.

the changing of ratio's is where it starts to get tricky as you've got to set the pinion depth & get the R&P to make a good meshing pattern, backlash etc... the black art of diff building.

Yea, the RnP is a bit tricky, but I'd like to have a crack at it, am told its a lot easier when fitting air lockers.

Am home for a week every month, and was thinking I could pull the diff out of suziblu and work on it, or should I be smart ad just get someone to do it for me.
