As you may or may not know I bought an engine with a 1.6l block with a 1.3 GTi head. :P
Well of course there is no OEM timing cover for this and the cover that it had was well, crappy. (Sorry iZook)

This is what I had to start with.

I had to extend the rear plates to align with the block. Cut a front cover and sides. I made it so the top
cover sits in a slot. The bottom has an extended plate which sits under and supports the plastic bottom cover.

The finished product. Looks almost factory. :)

Awesome job, though in that last photo, it almost looks like somebody bent over chucking a brown eye :lol: . Maybe I need a lie down... :crazy:

Haven't got it rego'ed yet so the jury's still out. If you want to know how the motor went PM RIKSTER as he and izook were using it in their comp truck.

Maybe regoe'd by September. :(
