Made a post about some small issues with my auto box a few weeks ago but now its made a turn for the worse.

Driving onto the freeway today turning a corner, it popped into 2nd or 3rd and when i accelerated out of the corner, it didnt change gear and was trying to pull from what felt like a high gear.
Off the freeway down to a traffic light, here come crunching & shuddering noises.
I think first is gone, it shifts OK in every other gear.

Are autos for a LWB 92' hard to find and what do they cost?

If its not worth doing i might part out the car

I can sometimes get them cheap. I'll make some calls tomorrow. $300-400 should get another one in there. Rebuild would be $2K.

Thanks mate, much appreciated. I dont think i'd rebuild it since its a pretty old car. the engine is a freshy though from the previous owner.
$300-400 might make it worth it fix

hey, your is the 4 speed with the Overdrive button? The East Fairfield wrecker which recently moved from Girraween had some about 3 weeks ago when I picked up my new import engine. The auto gearbox was $500-$600 and but the manual which I was also after these guys wanted more for those.
