Got a wide track 1.3 sierra. Have detirmined not worth working this motor being carbi job poor results with turbo. Vitara 1.6 seems common choice in injected form with adjustable computer for turbo. Is running gear strong enough or will I have to change everything?

better of with a built 1.3 than a 1.6, most of the guys on www.redlinegti.com run 1.3 with 1.6 pistons or forged items
most useful info related to your questions is on there

They only run vitara pistons cause the lower comp then the gti ones, better for the turbo,

Had a mate did 12.8 down the 1/4 withe just a base turbo kit vitara piston and a heltec computer, not bad for the 1.3

The honda pistons are more common and cheaper in forged form as they have a bigger aftermarket presence.
They are available in a wider range of compression ratio's, to both raise and lower static compression. The same amount of options aren't available in suzuki parts.
