hey guys i have found a vitara with a 16 valve engine and loom but it has a cracked head. I was wondering if the head off the 8 valve fits or if anyone has a decent head for one.

8v will fit, but your losing a lot of power, not worth it IMO..

That's the best quote I've ever gotten, Suzistore want $695 for a bare head..
All will be bare tho, you'll have to swap all you valve's into it & lap em to the seat's..

best bet is to buy a new head, its a bit of money but you know it wont have had years of abuse and you get a full top end rebuild out of it. I had to do this when the head on mine cracked about a month after buying my vit. is yours cracked between the welch plug and valve guide where others seem to?
it the kind of job you probably want someone else to do setting the valve clearances etc if you arent a mechanic. if i remember correctly want33s went through 3 second hand heads before buying a new one
