It sucks that Ebay allows them to advertise the sale location as Sydney when they clearly aren't in the country, or have not been manufactured yet ( assuming they are made in Sydney).

Not as nice as my winch bar, but at half the price I reckon it looks OK.

I've been following this bloke's products for a while. He makes a lot of stuff for the JK Wrangler. Given the price of his products, it's interesting that he hasn't had any big ticket sales in the year or so that I've been watching. He's also changed his eBay ID in this time too
I asked him some questions about his rear bars (stuff like what gauge steel, how does he treat it for corrosion resistance, close up photos of the welds, and are the recovery points rated). He seemed vague disclosing the info. Requests that I reckon are quite reasonable given the price ($1700) of the (JK) items in mention.
Anyway back to Pete's point. I read on another forum that his products are made in SE Asia and he imports them as he get's a sale - hence the delivery time. It would be interesting to physically see the stuff.

You can see some of the welds in this pic
Good ol' tick tack toe. Not a very good welding style as everytime you stop and restart ( heaps of tackwelds ) you create a point for contamination to start.
Penetration is also lower for this method of welding unless using a pulse mig.

x2. They are a nice design ( probably a copy of a european design ). And the price is good too. What size winch can it take though?

they look quite similar to the offroad armoury ones.
okay looking bar and cheap compared to anything else. but i am not sure how much protectoin it would give from wildlife as it only replaces the bumper.

What wildlife? If you mean skippys, then your bar won't give much protection either. Without side bars/ brush bars to stop the bar from pivoting back towards the bonnet, most chassis mounted bars will move significantly after striking a decent roo or other heavy meat obsticles.
Most farmers will get their TJM or ARB bar with side bars, and then add another tube to the side bars to strengthen them so they can plow through bounding meatbags at a buck-twenty. Least the ones I know do

Might mean the difference between a write-off and just significant damage though...

I'd rather a write off than a heavily repaired vehicle. Specially if its only a 1 or 2 year old jimny.
