i ran 30x9.5's on stock rims temporarily with no lift. Never even hammered the seams and had only minor scrubing with front wheels turned and fully compressed. Gearing was crap and clutch was getting a work out though. I don't think many cops would have even noticed the tyres were bigger than stock if they were looking at the car.

So with the gearing thing do you change the gear box or t case gears or both?
Also some one said about a 1lt t case .... do they bolt straight in or do you have to mod it? Aslo where do you find them i havnt seen any round at all.

you can re-gear either by fitting different transfer case gears or different diff gears. Transfer gears will lower both the high a low ratios but generally lower your low ratio a lot more. Diff gears lower both high and low by the same amount.
1 Litre sierra transfer cases have slightly lower gearing than the 1.3 Litre sierra's. Not sure by how much or exactly what you need to do to fit them.
