I saw this thread a while ago: http://auszookers.com/index.php?name=Fo ... ic&t=16011
And decided that I would make my own, and this is the nearly finished product, all I need to do is pop rivet the hinge onto the dash, and put in the lock:

Holding it open:

The lock I am going to put in:

Feel free to put forward some constructive criticism...

That suicide bar should just unbolt from the dash. I've got a spare one here in pretty good condition if you want it.

Its a little bit dirty, but theres no significant scratches or damage...

wow, now THAT looks good! hows the light hooked up, is there a switch somewhere to turn it on manually or does it turn on when the doors open?

I got a 24cm strip of these: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 787wt_1137
Awesome amount of light! They are like a Gel and you can bend them to any shape.

I have 2 96cm strips coming to use as rock lights. $10 for the pair with free postage ;)
They simply have a positive and negative line coming off them, you just glue them in place and hook them up to power.
At the moment I have them hooked up to a switch along with my two interior spot lights. But when I have some spare time I am going to hook them up to a button switch so it only turns on when you open the door. :)
