ive painted it with exterior paint so hopefully it will last a while. ill just have to see what happens

sweet as thats why im building a fiberglass 1 but just struggling to get the info on what fiber and resin to use cause i dont want it cracking

Make a light steel flatbar frame and cast it into the fibreglass. If you plan it right it will give you a point to anchor gas struts also.

im a sheet metal apprentice so thats easy i was just going to run box alloy along the edge of the sides and the lid and fiberglass them in but just want to get all info first sorry about the hijack

if ur a sheet metal worker why dont u make a nice checker plate one? im a sheety too and thats what i was gonna do but i had the sheet of ply lying around so i used it to get rid of it

Looks good. You could even hand cover it in vinyl or canvas like the roof.
