was speaking to the father in law today and he told me his vit ( g16b auto) is dropping out of over drive and he had a heap of tranny fluid come out the breather toady. its also taking about 15 min from start up before it goes into over drive at all.

any tips on where to start looking?

if it has a heap of fluid comming out the breather i would slap the idiot across the head who has recently over-filled the tranny.

the overdrive will not work until the engine has reached a certain temperature from start up.

thats what i thought, he told me he hadn't put any in but i'll find out when i check it out on the weekend

Just had mine all serviced with new filter and pan gasket and re-adjusted and cost me $168 was harsh from 1-2 not holding in 1 until hot kick down need adjusting and from the drive home last night seems to be all good now so it was not alot of $$ to get someone to look at it that knows what they are doing " Adam's Automatic's " in Caloundra
