Highway-Star, LJ81/LJ80 (pre-stockman), Notice the big vacuum pump for the window washers on the dash board :) : That radio is butchery, and not standard, should be an ash tray there.

Image
Highway-Star, LJ80/LJ81 "Stockman", notice the washer and wiper controls are now on the steering column, and the instrument cluster is now plastic. also the heater box is different, and the factory radio is where the ash tray used to be, so the ash tray is now in front of the heater box:

Have you got poverty pack or the Luxury dash, 303zuke wrote :

The NT (or "Round Vent") JA dash.
There is an uncut blank spot for the clock ( center of dash ) with plugs in the holes for the soft crash pad. The gauge cluster does not have a tacho. The warning / idiot lights are vertical between gauges.

The NT (or "Round Vent") JX dash,
Has a soft crash pad on the left side with a digital clock. The Speedo gauge unit has a Tacho on the right and the warning / idiot lights horizontal below the gauges. The round air vents look the same on the two versions, but are long or short depending on if the crash pad is fitted. The 'Round Vent' dash only came in Grey.

The WT (or "Square Vent") JA dash,
Has no clock, and the gauge cluster has no tacho. Like the NT JA, The warning / idiot lights are vertical between gauges.

The WT (or "Square Vent") JX dash,
Has the digital clock and tacho and the Speedo gauge unit has a Tacho on the right and the warning / idiot lights horizontal below the gauges.. As there was no add-on crash pad with the Square Vent dash, the air vents are the same on both types. The 'Square Vent' dash came in either Dark Grey or Brown.

ha, a zook dash is only about a metre wide, it'll fit and have a look at sheps picture taken during the day, there's shadows across it hiding some of the shiney clean bits.

Same Dash is in a 1988 Lwb Sj51 1324cc WT. But with AM radio.

Im thinking those flaps next to the clock must of been an option!
Both have no Aircon.

Mates 94' Swb sj70 1298cc Wt had same dash but with button for aircon. Original.

Could work, be good to add a shot of the gauge clusters and any funky Dash OEM options
Eg Inclonometer on WT Dash, Tacho and non tacho options (like the NT? did it come in a different style to NT with tach!?)

looks like i need to hunt down a digital clock for the lwb... don't like the thought of shep being excluisive.....

yep. i have a '94 SWB WT sj70, exactly the same... except mines a little shinier, no CB, and wires hanging out the bottom, im guessing from the previous owners home-done stereo install (which, by the way, was the worst job ive ever seen! gunna fix that up sometime soon)

Alot have wires hanging down from dodgy installs.

There are covers that go underneath, but they are as rare as the dash pocket door/flaps..

And Shep and BluSuzy's LWBs are both "JX" spec, the luxury version of the Sierra with the clock and tacho. The other type was the "JA" basic spec.

The NT (or "Round Vent") JA dash is the type fitted to the pictured Maruti. There is a uncut blank spot for the clock with plugs in the holes for the soft crash pad, and the gauge cluster does not have a tacho. The idiot lights are in the middle of the 2 dials.
The NT JX dash has a soft crash pad on the left side with a digital clock. The Speedo gauge unit has a Tacho on the right and the idiot lights across the bottom. The round air vents look the same on the two versions, but are long or short depending on if the crash pad is fitted. The Round Vent dash only came in Grey.

The WT (or "Square Vent") JA dash has no clock, and the gauge cluster has no tacho. Like the NT JA, the idiot lights run up the centre.
The WT JX dash has a digital clock and tacho and the idiot light run along the bottom of the gauges. As there was no add-on crash pad with the Square Vent dash, the air vents are the same on both types. The Square Vent dash came in either Dark Grey or Brown.

Just found this thread but the links in the first post don't work (just brings you to the main page)
Maybe it had something to do with the forum upgrade?! Would be good if they could be fixed for the tech section :)

If the 1.0 has a steel dash you need to cut it all out and then remove the 1.3 dash along with all the spotwelded brackets and attach them to your 1.0.
It is a HUGE job to get right. You really need to swap in the whole 1.3 firewall to make it all work.
