Poor rear axle manufacturing tolerances?
My widetrack has a rear axle that measures somewhere between narrow track and widetrack. Can visually see that the rear is narrower than the front just quickly looking at my car, as its a good 20 or 30mm under length. Its also slightly offset to one side (can't remember which now, but its only about 5mm). Not as bad as Hiluxes which seem to notoriously have different wheelbases on each side of the vehicle

If it bugs you too bad, find another axle, and measure it up before you buy it, then swap it in. I've personally been driving my car for over 5 years now, and it has not bothered me at all :D

i no this is probably different, but i have this on the rear of my vitara. one side sticks out by about 15-20mm and the other side is in by 15-20mm. just stock vitara but with 235/75/15 on sunnies. it was the same on my last vitara with same setup.

u cant really notice it tho as i have flares

On a vit I would be looking for worn bush's or movement in the center hemi joint, 10-15mm is not a lot tho.

Yep, noticed my wheels stuck out a bit when I first did my lift and tyres. Even more so when I added shackles to the equation. Worried me at first but seems to be a common thing.

Where are you referencing it from? The body? Is it straight? Im assuming that all your rims are the same as well ie offset.

my sierra also sticks out.. but i am sitting on sagged rims on the drivers side..

if you jack the chassis up till it sits all nice and even then the wheels sit equally out of the guards

its all a visual thing.
