Today I made fog light bumper mounts. Went off to the hardware store and put together a plan of attack based on what I had at hand. The brief consists of the following key points.
- Shield the back of the from debris being thrown from the tyres.
- Give me a practical mounting point for the light that's easily serviced

To my surprise it looked nice in the end as well

I bought these bits from the plumbing section at the local hardware.

Put a rubber grommet in the back of each

Used these lights

Fitted the outer rim

Finished. Although I have replaced the couple of dodgy screws with S/S versions

I'm yet to wire them up. They're really just to fill the ugly holes. Not often it gets foggy around Brisneyland.

Atari there's definitely more uses for plumbing bits than just flushing.

should paint it black and leave the little bolts silver or even put litle bulbs in the space between the bolts for a little bling that go on with the parkers

Already done they were only temporary, although now that I look at it with fresh eyes I think I'll swap the S/S screws for some S/S allen bolt & nyloc nut jobbies.

I wired these up a while ago and have tested them out a few times. Due to the fish eye lense they give a full 180 degree spread. Also wired the Cibie Oscars at the same time, had the whole lot running on the beach recently... Fantastic!

Hey nutter, how is that number plate spottie mount attached. Does it just have 2 bolts thru to bar at middle of no. plate? any bracing ? I was thinking of mounting a couple of square hella's i have laying around. instead of spending $85.00 on a bracket, mount them on bumper with plates either side to stabilize. do your spotties vibrate? Thanks.

I still have to add more bracing from the number plate holes to the factory number plate mounts, but at the moment it has two bolts through the number plate plus a checkerplate tool tray that's attached by a single bolt which is hidden when the bonnet is closed as well as the spotties clamping it to the light bar.
