I have had these fitted in Casper for over 4 months now and have no problems at all. I also have a set on Std mounts fitted to my Stock Sierra and again not a problem.
The lifted ones works out that the T/case is now sitting above the chassis rails.
Thanks Greg for making Casper (and my stocka) the dummies for testing.

I'm confused to why is the transfer case lift kits are made of 4 separate parts then washers as well

6 layers :?

something like: washer, rubber, chassis, rubber, T/case mount, rubber, chassis, rubber washer. at a guess I'd say that'd be it........... been wrong before though............lots :P

Good looking kits by the way. Silly question time.. Do you do a standard kit for a LWB??? I need a complete body mounting kit for mine.

Post subject:  Re: Body lifts and Sierra Lifted Transfer Mounts

Twitchy is correct, to provide total insulation there is a block on both sides of the transfer mounts and chassis mount. The reason for the two blocks is to allow for different heights to be available.

A steel crush tube runs through the whole assembly, to provide insulation from this tube to the chassis and transfer arms a larger hole needs to be drilled.

Do you mean body lift or the standard body mounting rubbers, I have these as well.

No, there's bugger all room in there from standard. Doubt you would even get 12mm of lift without an issue.

Post subject:  Re: Body lifts and Sierra Lifted Transfer Mounts

I have a standard New T/case setup on my other stock Drover.
They work well as well guys.
Look the same as the lifted ones, but smaller if that makes sence.
So if you want to upgrade the standard t/case mounts, these are the way to go.

Lifting the tank is as easy as cutting the mounts and rewelding them.... BUT.... lifting the tank puts the filler pipe in the middle of the chassis rail..... Last time I tried petrol didn't flow through 2mm steel
To get around the filler problem you'd either have to lift the tank about 120mm which means raising the rear floor or move the filler inlet to the top of the tank(which any radiator shop/BALL should be able to handle)

No you don't. You can lift the transfer after the body lift is fitted but it's not essential. Lifting the transfer just gives you more clearance and protects the transfer from possible impact.

How does the 2 inch transfer case afect the tailshaft angles? Will a tailshaft spacer be needed?
Does anyone have a pic of the tailshaft angles?
cheers
Hutch

Post subject:  Re: Body lifts and Sierra Lifted Transfer Mounts

Yes you can pick it up, allow 3 hours to install. Yes I have stock.

Hutch, normally a 40mm kit works well with a transfer with a roctoy ring, Casper and NFI both have them and had no issue with driveline angles. I do have a spacer on the front but that's mainly for the RUF rather then the trasfer lift.

Post subject:  Re: Body lifts and Sierra Lifted Transfer Mounts

Mine runs the lifted transfer with no spacers, no problems yet
