Suzuki for sale Chassis: - 2003 SQ625 Grand Vitara Originally H25A Manual "Cool beige" colour. Paint in pretty good nick. No bubbling. No real rust anywhere either - Has had the rear bumper relocation mod so the 32s tuck up with no scrub in the rear Engine - 2004 XL7 H27A - XL7 late model largest size radiator and front crossmember - Rebuilt, ported and polished head - Double row timing chain done less than 20,000km ago including that idler bearing that doesn't come in any timing chain kits, replaced with an equivalent Japanese made bearing Exhaust - Extractors - 2.5 inch 304 stainless with straight through stainless muffler - 2.5 inch QTP exhaust cutout with down angled dump just behind the front differential - made in the USA quality one, has lasted years, opens with a jet fighter missile switch next to the gear stick, makes the car very loud, also includes blanking plate for temporary isolation purposes - Down angled exhaust tip Driveline - Front differential - GV steel diff housing - 5.12 Vitara centre with 4 pinion ARB air locker - Stubby shaft conversion - Rear differential - 5.12 ratio centre from SQ416 - this is the larger size 8 inch rear that is GV sized and significantly larger than the Vitara 5.12. Only found in the SQ416 short wheelbase. Again this is the stronger square shaped GV diff case not the rounded Vitara one, there seems to be some confusion that they are the same, they are not. - CAP locker - air locker - Wheels are Evocorse Dakarzero 16x8 -20 offset in matte black. Made in Italy cost about $2500 set of 5. They are immaculate just a bit dirty. Yes they fit over the GV front brakes without any grinding or modification - common knowledge is that there are no wheels available which do this. They are heavily used in the Dakar rally so they are high clearance designed to fit over big brakes. They have all the racing homologation as well - didn't really look into this as didn't care. - Tyres are 235/85R16 (32 inch) Hankook Dynapro MT - Front brakes - EBC green stuff pads and EBC slotted and dimpled rotors - Rear brakes - Radzikone.pl rear disc brake conversion Suspension - 4xFourart 3 inch suspension lift includes - Koni compression adjustable shocks front and rear - Differential drop - Steel tube LCAs - Rear upper and lower trailing arms - tube steel - Panhard spacer - Driveshaft spacers - HD springs all round Protection - XROX bar - Radzikone.pl full length (sump to transfer) bash plates 4mm steel Electronics - Relocated Optima D34 starting battery - ITechworld 120Ah LiFePO4 auxillary battery - Intervolt DCC Pro 25amp DC-DC charger with solar input (MPPT) - Engel 40L steel fridge (the beige metallic previous model to the current one) immaculate inside and out, no scratches or dents complete with transit cover - Stedi lighting all round - Type X pro fronts x2 - ST4K 42 inch light bar - C4 x2 fogs - C4 left and right and x2 rear - Runva 11XP premium winch with synthetic rope - Factor 55 ultra hook - Factor 55 fairlead - Albright electric winch isolator solenoid - ARB twin air compressor with 4L air tank - ARB LINX controller for lockers etc - Switch Pros SP 9100 digital controller for lights (made in USA, pricey) - KENWOOD DMX9720XDS 10.1 inch floating HD display - This was fitted with the genuine Suzuki fascia which fits double DIN head units, not the one we have here which needs to be cut out, got this one from either Japan or Russia I think, they had factory TVs in their GVs. As such the install is clean. - KENWOOD HD reversing camera - KENWOOD DRV-N520 HD dash cam - Clarion 4 channel amp - Fusion 6 inch splits with tweeters in front - Fusion 6 inch 2 ways in back (roof) - Fusion CP-AS1080 8 inch 600w powered sub - Sound system actually pumps, more than enough for this size car - GME 330c UHF with twin antenna pack (2.1 and 6.6dB) - black - GME antenna for Cel-fi Go mobile phone range extender - Brand new alternator Storage - Rhino rack roof rails - Custom rear storage setup - steel frame - compressor/solenoids and Dunn and Watson fridge slide mounted Extras - XL7 rear differential centre good condition 5.12 ratio - Protrack air locker for XL7 rear differential - again common wisdom seems to be no air lockers available for XL7 diff, this is not true, Protrack make one, it's good, it's not Chinese - new - If you want to run this diff and locker all you need is the rear axle shaft from a European SQ420D (diesel SQ GV) which ran the larger XL7 diff OR an XL7 rear axle and modify the panhard and tail shaft. This will allow you to run the strongest 9.5inch XL7 rear with an air locker - no one in Australia has done this yet to my knowledge. Cost of this locker was $1500 - 4xFourart high pressure gas mono tube remote reservoir shocks - fully serviceable, revalveable and rebuildable - new - 4xFourart full set spare springs - new - 4xFourart spare bushes - all rears recently replaced, fronts still good so you have spares - new - Trail Tough Trail Savage 3:1 transfer case gears, fit the newer model T-cases as they utilise the stock output spliny boi to get this ratio - new - 4xFourart bolt on flares - new - 4xFourart 2.5inch body lift - new - Pair of TRED recovery boards - used once - Genuine Hi-lift Xtreme jack 48 inch - Quite a lot of still good recovery gear - tyre repair kit, 2 or 3 snatch straps, tow strap, drag chain, shackles etc - Quite a lot of extra spares, diff spares etc
All in all I'd say a pretty well set up car. Just needs a bit of TLC and some work to be something really special. Nearly all the parts are there, and all the parts are good quality that should last.
With everything above on the car you will be able to run 33 inch tyres and it will not be a pig to drive. The current 32s and 5.12 gearing gives you an almost stock final drive ratio (slightly shorter than stock actually) so with the 33s it should be no worries. With the 3:1 T-case gears and 33s it will crush off road.
I've read some comments that putting negative offset wheels and 32s on a GV makes it undriveable. I've owned and driven this car for nearly 10 years and it pretty much drives like a stock GV. The steering is 1 finger light and returns to centre just fine.
The exhaust sounds great both with the cutout open and closed. I will attach a video.
The engine is still in good condition. When my mechanic removed the head for the rebuild there was no ring ridge. I actually have the full service log book for this engine as it came out of a fleet car which was serviced according to schedule regularly its whole life. I have serviced it every 5000km since I've had it with full synthetic oil and used synthetic gear, diff and transfer oil as well.
I am selling because despite this car being nearly finished, even if I did everything I want to it, it would still be too small for me now with the missus and the dogs for trips away. I have loved and will greatly miss this car. So I hope to sell it to someone who appreciates Suzuki 4WDs and will finish it and use it.
Has working aircon. Upgraded to XL7 aircon compressor and larger condenser when I did the radiator upgrade.
There are a few issues which I will list - While all the parts are there, I was in a rush and there are a few wiring issues - Rear locker doesn't engage (electrical or plumbing issue) - Winch control box ground gets hot and smokes whenever you try winch - incorrectly wired as I didn't install this one myself - needs a re-wire - One of the feet on the Rhino rails is cracked - There is a dent in the drivers side rear quarter from an off road recovery - Headlights are sun faded - Front tyres need replacing - Pulls to the left slightly - needs an alignment - There is a tensioner or belt squeak - Body plastic flares are a bit rough - planned to remove them and fit the bolt on flares which are included
Price is $12,000 ONO 0417402580 - Alex Located in Joondalup, Perth WA
