Hi all. I'm regrettably selling our trusty 1992 Vitara. Work has given me use of a 4X4 ute which suits my needs a bit more. I love this car so it is a regretful sale, even more so because I know I can't sell it for what it would be worth without the hail damage acquired back in November. Unfortunately the vehicle wasn't insured!

This was our second car. We used it for commuting into town and to access parts of our property that are 4WD only.

I've tried to photograph the hail damage as accurately as possible, it's on the bonnet and roof mostly, and the windscreen which would need to be replaced to pass its next rego.

I didn't realise these vehicles were so popular - since owning it I've had quite a few Suzuki 4X4 fans comment on how they think these are the best offroad vehicles, even had offers to buy it! I hardly took it offroad so maybe I wasn't doing it justice. On road it is quite fuel efficient for a carby, only has a 1.5L engine so don't expect too much grunt. I've towed a trailer twice with it - no problems at all.

Pros:
- great 4X4 offroad vehicle
- regularly serviced at mechanics
- easy comfortable drive with power steering and air-conditioning (air con needs a regas)
- rego til May 2014
- new brake pads
- new front tyres (rear OK).
- 5 seater - can take the family/friends on offroad adventures
- CD player with iPod connector

Cons:
- passenger window won't wind up/down
- interior door handles not functioning very well
- hail damage and will need a new windscreen to pass rego
- 313000km on the clock

When considering this vehicle, please remember it is a 21 year old vehicle so it's unreasonable to expect it to be cosmetically perfect and not to have a few flaws. As a positive you can get an affordable offroad and onroad vehicle and not have to stress about getting a few scratches.

We're located about 15 minutes from Dorrigo NSW, however can drive into town for inspection, and may be able to meet in or around Coffs Harbour depending on schedule.
