You will need to take the tcase off and count the output shaft on the gearbox. Maybe someone knows

a Rover LT230 would be a cheaper near equivalent in strength to an Atlas.

Yea, I am sure the gears could handle it but a Vit case is chain driven and I don't thin the chain would handle sticky 40", I am guessing you are running sticky treps. If you are building a TT car I would cough up the cash and get an Atlas so you could run a digs too.
