I remember reading a story told by a Hapkido Instructor to a student who was going off the rails and couldn't understand why there were so many problems in her life. The story he told was of a master thief, who after many years of robbing houses had never been caught. When asked his secret, the theif replied that he would look at the front door of a house, and if the shoes at the door were neatly arranged, the house would be tidy, and so anything he took would soon be missed thereby increasing his chances of being caught. On the other hand, if the shoes were messy the house inside probably would be also, and so his intrusion wouldn't be noticed until long after he had made his getaway. I'm guessing it was only a parrable, but the message wasn't wasted on me.
The only thing I'm going to change Kas is what my customers see at the front door. If I'm properly organised, and expect them to be, then the smart crooks won't try anything on, or even better go up the road. The dumber ones who try will be shut down and hopefully I won't get caught like this again, or see them again.
It's funny how energy attracts energy. I enjoyed doing Jacob's jobs, enjoyed his energy and attitude, and this helped me to get a good result. Same applied to an EK dual cab custom, which I enjoyed for the same reasons, and getting a good result was easy. This ute has been a slog all the way, even before he started on the gauge thing. It was just hard work, though the result is still good, it didn't come easy.
