how slow are the 1 litre engines? To be honest my 96 with fresh 1.3 in it feels like im going back in time as it is.

Also, not sure if you would know but how hard would it be to replace the running gear with later model 5 speed and 1.3?

1L not so bad. My old 1L would do 140clicks on the highway

Its an adjustment, but you will get used to it

And don't waste your time with the 1.3. Just fit a 1.6L straight up.

Yeah i thought that would be the case. i dunno its just there isn't much more i want to do with my coily (or that i can do because nothing fits it) And i no longer have to drive on the highway for work anymore so something like this wouldn't be too much of a problem

To be honest I'm not sure at the moment. I still haven't seen the car yet. I'll probably look at doing the suspension bushes first, my brother tells me that they're a bit squeaky. I'm thinking about using it for camping / touring so probably do the 1.6 conversion, close in the cabin, body/paint etc. I haven't really decided yet. There will be a build thread soon.

My brother forgot to get the original seats off you guys. Do you still have them?

yeah still have the seats and rims too. send ya Bro round to get them again . lol  yeah close in the cabin would be good. My bro had a hardtop about 7 yrs ago that he sold for some unknown reason. I think it went to NSW? A softop one can be made up by Maria at MU canvas at MT Tamborine though cheap enough.
