A binkini top is just the section that goes over the driver and passenger seats.

That term is actually a BIMINI top not a BIKINI top. Bimini is the name used for a small roof or canopy that covers the helm of a boat but does not extend to cover the aft area. The name bimini top came from an area of the Bimini Islands in the Bahamas where boats with these short canopies were quite popular for fishing charters. The skipper was out of the sun while the passengers had no roof to contend with while fishing with rods.

Just so no one is confused......
