G'day,

Having the Vitara head gaskets replaced (VRS kit), just wondering if it's worth replacing the pistons and rod/main bearings at the same time? The rings are being done, but I plan to keep this beast for a few more years. Pretty sure the head hasn't come apart in the 190,000km clock.

How much more life could I expect out of the mains and pistons? It's had regular servicing, but looking through the logs -- no head work.

Pistons will be fine but it's not hard to slip some new main and big end bearings in.
