more travel would be great, but don't really want to do to much in the way of bumpstops would prefer a shock that suits the car as in ride/handling probly more important than travel.

whats should i get ?

OME, Dobinson... Most of the big 4wd accessory brands will have a shock to suit that lift. Alternatively you go go commodore wagon shocks but you may need to do other mods to ensure there is no binding.

The compressed length standard is really small so getting a long shock in is a bit tricky, I have 2" bumpstop spacers in mine with some random ranchos that are about 4" longer extended than the OME ones, doesnt worry me cause the tyres hit the arches on full bump without them anyway

Model # for the rancho shock 99179 356mm Compressed 568mm Ext.
50mm bump stops required. These measurements are probably best , because longer extension you need to fiddle with your hand brake cable and brake lines.

tough dog 328 - 513
ome 318 - 508
rancho 500 352 - 565
