hey guys, i am having trouble finding a sunraysia rim to fit my vit. the 15'' they tried at the tyre shop was way off (hitting on front brake caliper) then i tried 16'' sunnies thismorn that they ordered in for me and even they still hit! is there a certain offset i need or something?

cheers.

I am looking into getting a set of sunnies for my rig too. I was able to find that the stock wheel size is 16" x 6.5" 25P assuming we have the same wheel size as the Vitara 2.0 V6 - couldn't actually find anything exactly on the wide track short wheel base Vitara (assume this is what you have).

So I think you need something like this.

What size rims do you have ATM that don't fit and also what was your quote per wheel for 16" - mine was $120 a wheel so I plan to do some more shopping.

i run a 31x10.5xr15 on a 15x7 -15mm offset Speedy Desert Rats.

i know this sounds dodgy & i appologise to all that are qualified engineers & mechanics that know better...
(i work on computers) 8O

with a bit of caliper shaving they will fit.

when putting new pads in I need to run a new pad on on the inside to take some meat off it while still running the old pad on the outside then put the new pads in after a few thousand kays & it clears the caliper.

I can change pads like a pit crew, just make the noises of race cars flying by & i can get them done really quick.

I have only had to change pads once since owning it & i don't know how worn the ones that were on it originally.

The plus side is I get so many more tyre options!

Classic, love it - I had a dream once that I was a fantastic race car driver and my secret was to make engine noises whilst I was driving to keep me in sync with the car. I tried it in real life but ran out of breath and had to short shift, a lighter fly wheel will fix that .... not ;)

I don't have any pics handy of the gillette'd calipers, they don't have any cast raised part numbers on them when I was finished.

so i ended up getting 16'' black sunraysia style king wheels with 255/70R16 BFG mud terrain tyres. i still had to shave a little bit off the calipers and also fitted 8mm spacers...looks sweet and drives well, however, i would like to fit longer studs as i lose a bit of thread with the spacers. anyone know what studs i would need??
