Quick question fellas...

Is there a difference in fuel tanks between SWB NT, WT + Coily models?

Also, what other tanks fit in a SWB WT leafy... I'm wondering if anyone has fitted for example, a vitara tank in a sierra... I'm after a bit more range than standard.. a longe range tank is about $700 i think... that's a bit exy...

I'm just trying to work out my options, as my tank is completely stuffed... I only got 140kms out of my last tank and i keep running outa juice...

One of my mates rekons i could blow out the dings, but its completley stuffed!

Thanks...

NT and WT are exactly the same tank except the NT has a drain bung and WT has one more hose connection..
Coily is same as WT but has built in swirl pot.

Because every other country except australia got efi at that stage.(coily models came prepared..but still no efi..)

Many people have swb vit tanks. but everyone has a different approach to doing it

In my 'sig line' there is a link to my setup(lastpage)..Mine is an efi tank, but the carbie tanks should be very similar or the same.

Hey Bluesuzy, u've done a top job getting that vit tank in there.. looks factory... So i'm assuming there was a little bit of mucking around getting it to fit? Like modifying brackets and extra fab work... love the bash plate 2! and its 50L... that's perfect... what sort of k's do you get out of a tank? and also, what sort of k's did you get outta the original tank? just so i can compare... thanks...

I have a 2" BL so that clearance helps in getting it so high...All my brackets (2 only!) are bolton because i dont have a welder at home, but i had access to a welder at work. The very back mounts are bolted straight up to the chassis crossmember. All original mounts were cutoff.

Also Kms range.. My efi conversion there is a stuff up somewhere as i only used to get 200kms from the coily tank. I now get 300kms a tank.. My wiring is fudged or something.. Even with the vss helping..

They are 50L by liquid measuring, but everytime i fill up at a servo i get about 40L in..

Have you measured one litre by litre? I have.

My vit tank is swb efi.

Unsure how big the lwb ones are. I think they fit..but just..search around

Was pretty easy, if i did it again though i would have mounted it hard agaisnt the passenger side though. getting my fuel filler to work was a bitch.
