I'm after more supportive seats for my 2002 GV. Mine is with the interior prior to the the model with the black interior.
Does anyone know if the seats from the post-2003 models will fit into my GV as they look and feel a bit more comfortable?
The seat rails look the same but I'm not 100% sure.
Am I right to assume if the seat rails don't need to be changed then I don't need a mod plate?
Are there any other after market seats that go in without modification?
Cheers.

Seat rail the same 98 - 06 sq range, I think 3 & 5 doors can fit if the rails of the car thay are going into are used, alltho pass has an extra leaver in 3 door.

If your interested i have a full set front and rears from a 2002 model that are like brand new. They are that blue/grey colour.
The car that they came out of had only done 55000 klm.

My GV is the 2002, so replacing them with the same is kinda pointless. The seats I have now are fine in that the cushioning if OK. I actually want better, more supportive seats not the same. I might have a look around for 3-door 2003-2006 seats then.
What about aftermarket, ie sports seats? Do any of those fit straight in?
Cheers.

You mean sports seats? Are the Vitara and GV seat rails different?

the rails on a vitara are un even... the one near the trans tunnel is up high & the outer one is on the floor. it's not a bolt in job if you want to put sports seats in a vitara.
