Guys... I've removed the diff centre from my son's '96 LWB WT Sierra (Murati(?) with a 1.6ltr Engine Conversion) and taken it down to the Diff Shop to inspect. The result is not good, and the R&P is not usable. So, we are looking for another either 4.1 R&P or another 4.1 Diff Centre. Does anyone know of someone who may have one or where to source one from. (Brisbane Area - northside)? The Guy down at the Diff Shop did mention that he "thought" that the early Jimny Diffs might be suitable - either just the R&P &/or the complete centre. Does anyone know if this is correct? From the research I've done the early Jimny's appear to have a 4.1 diff ratio so it would be nice if the centres were interchangeable... or at least the R&P if not the centre housing... Also, it seems the previous owner got carried away when they replaced the rear wheel bearings and has ground into the axle itself. Would like to source some good 2nd hand ones or I've noticed that on eBay you can source new ones from India but I'm a bit concerned buying anything from there as to the correct part &/or quality of the parts... It's the only place where I have seen new axles for sale and I assume they are WT and not NT ones... thanks in advance |

BTW: Another option I'm looking is at sourcing some 2x 3.9 Ratios and swap out the Front & rear for the more common 3.9ratios... Does anyone have any 3.9 ratios that they are willing to sell? |
